Well, SOMEONE'S got a warped imagination!!! But I like most of these all
the same. The humans are a little disturbing, but the animals are
hilarious! Good work. I really admire the way you've merged the pictures so
skillfully, the way you match the angles and colours. Anyway, well done.

CONGRATULATIONS!
If I give you my photo, would you put my face in the bady of a rottweiler (dog)?? PLEASE! It would be a dream made real!. Or in the body of a person with a lot of muscles . Then you can publish it if you want or e-mail it to me =D. Here is my foto: http://img328.imageshack.us/img328/3582/nov252088qq.jpg

PS this is going to start a revolution

Incredible work here! You are a creative genius. Mind you I would love to see more stuff that pushes the creepy/disturbing envelope. Perhaps spiders morphed with cuddly cute animals - that kind of thing. I'll definitely be stopping by again. In the meantime, keep it up and don't hold back...

I've been visiting your page for over a year, as it was mentioned on some other site, with a link.

The bulldog-face military guy smoking cigarettes with his eyes hit me just right to laugh out loud tonight, good show.

I've done some photomorphing as well, but with Photo Impact that came with my scanner. It's similar to Photoshop, and yes, you can make chimeras with it.

Are these pictures real or just made up and photo croped?

It would seem that in some of the pictures the people or animals could not live if they could not eat or breath.

Some were very creepy.

How did you do the one with the jelly bean with the baby inside?

Becky

Hopefully they arent real !

Re: Images

I have emailed Rob ( see message below ) who has had his image stolen and emailed to myself.

I will remove the offending images - This site uses images from royalty free images and from people sending me photos.

If any are stolen they will be removed immediately.

hi martin,

i read your profile and you mentioned that you are awaiting the day you can move into a graphics role. what the hell are you waiting for?

i've been a graphic designer/art director for 8 years and i'm telling you that your photoshop skills are excellent and i could see you at the very least getting a role as a retouching person. take your images and any design you have done at home or work and go for it. what have you got to loose?

great work! cheers ;) skye

You people are seriously demented. God bless you for it. I'm pretty good on Photoshop and very good on Photoline 32 but your work is unbelievable. It takes a LOT to freak me out. The ONLY thing that's creeped me out and actually given me cold chills(other than the movie The Ring) are some of your demon looking pics. Keep up the good work.

It's just after 8pm, going on a 12 hour day. Came across pics. Best thing that could have happened. Will dream of weird Al combinations. Perhaps with vegetables. Would love to buy but not on mugs and not on size XXXL T-shirts. A re-think of merch. I think. Something as kooky but on the sly, in the back pocket so to speak. Any ideas? -c

stellar constellations martin. if the data content management game don't pay off... remember you'll always have a future with this line of art"work." I'd actually encourage you to pursue your singular vision more full time. You could make a go of it in the fine art marketplace of NY or LA, provided you first dissassociated your self from human descent, which wouldn't be hard to do. not that it doesn't rock, but it ain't hoity toitee enough. you have the capacity though. I'd start reading up on the Grotesque, prosthetic vs. surrogate, hazards of transgenics, terence mckenna's take on the precession of the alien eschaton, animism, Max Ernst's brand of surrealism, and just postpostmodern art praxis and "the scene" in general.

I have returned...looked at the new pics and have to say, these pics are incredible!!! What skill...and this is just a hobby for you, someone give the owner of this site a career in this!!!
The only one I've ever seen who can pull off photo manipulations this good, with as much skill and imagination is a guy named J.K. Potter...difference here is, Potter's stuff is black and white...what we see here is in color.
If you got into horror and such, I think you just might be able to dethrone Potter in this type of work...Your work would make for a great cover on a CD.
Amazing, truly amazing...great imagination...I would love to roam through your mind to see how it works.
Wonder if I'd get lost or...feel at home.
Keep up the excellent work

These are great! I've been working with photoshop for years now and trying to do these hybrids. They're harder then they look, and you're the best out there I've seen at them! Great job! Hey, for something new, why don't you try making a gryphon? It's a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. The picture I attached is one I made that's similar to a gryphon. They're fun.

Your web site was sent to me by a friend and I have to admit, it is totally warped. How on earth do you do that to the pictures? Is it hard? Can anyone do this? Keep up the good work. I always get a good laugh out of some of these pics. The critters are really interesting.

HumanDescent:
Hi Tanya,
Not hard - just get yourself a copy of photoshop :)
Lots of good tutorials on the web too :)

I really got a kick out of the animal morphs. Some were downright funny, some grotesque, others oddly disquieting. I teach art to elementary and middle school children and can imagine a corresponding educational unit. Students could be introduced to theories of evolutionary change and then challenged to create their own unique species complete with it's enviromental niche. I can imagine students would really get into this. The silliness factor is also very appealing. The photographs also reminded me of a book I have "Photography of the Grotesque". It features the work of number of contemporary photographers. Thanks for the images.

I found your site because someone emailed me about 30 of them. However, that IS good for your site traffic ;-) http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/ is a gallery script that allows your images to be emailed by your visitors, AS POSTCARDS..... I'd buy a photo book or other form of cross-section review in a heartbeat! Perhaps not a new idea to you, but please be encouraged and keep me on the proverbial list if you should go that direction. Regards.

I'd like to see you put your hundreds of animal images into a realtime ranking ladder using my free asp scripts. You can download my ladder ranking scripts at the above link. Two images from a ladder are shown at random. A vistor picks one of the two. The image that wins migrates up the ladder in rank one step. The image that looses migrates down the ladder in rank one step. Voteing is addictive and poeple don't know how to stop. The ranking order never stops changeing and is always in continous flux like boiling water, but the cream allways buzzes around the top.

Hi Marin! I LOVE these! I'm doing a solo album which I've tentatively named "The Evolution of Jazzraptor". The mastering is scheduled for September 15th, and the release party is scheduled for November 12th. I would be interested in licensing one or more of your images for the CD cover. Do you do that? Here's a link to some of the music. The first two; "Bohemian Soul", and "Dream with You"; will be on the CD. Take a listen, and let me know about licensing! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/7/jazzraptormusic.htm be well, Jack
